Rope/Entanglement removals – removal of wire, fishing net, and other debris from the vessel’s rope guard and shaft.

Sealing Stern Tube Glands – The packing is inside the gland nut and creates the seal. The shaft is wrapped by the packing and put in the gland nut. Through tightening it onto the stern tube, the packing is compressed, creating a seal against the shaft. Creating a proper plunger alignment is critical for correct flow and a long wear life.

Anode Replacement (welded or bolted on) – replacing of old and depleted anodes on a vessel, either by bolt on or welded.

Ship Inspections / Surveys

Photographic Inspection – general condition of a vessel’s hull, including rudder, propeller, sea chests, vertical sides and flat bottom, the inspection can also be used to identify fouling condition, and damage noticed if any.

CCTV inspections – A CCTV Footage Survey in conjunction with the Special Survey to examine the external underwater part of the ship and related items to class and clients requirements.

Ship Cleaning

Full Hull Cleaning and Propeller Polish – cleaning of vessel’s hull to ensure reduction of fuel consumption, reduction of CO2 emissions, increase of ships speed.

Niche cleaning – thorough cleaning of all the areas of the vessel, including inside sea chests cleaning.

Bow Thruster Cleaning – Bow Thrusters are propeller types that are smaller in size than propellers. Bow Thrusters are placed in tunnels on the bow and stern below the waterline and are divided into two categories, electric and hydraulic.

Hold and Hatch Cleaning

Hatch/Hold Top Cleaning

  • Typically when the same cargo is to be carried on concurrently in the same voyage.
  • Similar to a shovel clean to save time, recommended to clean thoroughly to avoid paint stain.
  • This type of clean is generally done in the event of an urgent clean needed.

Shovel Cleaning

  • Cleaning by removal of grab with:
    • Bulldozers
    • Bobcats
    • Cherry Pickers
    • Shovel and brooms, depending on cargo residue left in the holds

Hospital Cleaning

  • Cleaning to be carried out to specific requirements, using all necessary equipment from shovels to cherry pickers, double sweeps, paint touch up including hatch covers and tank top, seawater was down and fresh water rinse, and using specific approved chemicals to clean holds.
  • Removal of any and all previous cargo and left residue
  • Typical cargo: Chrome Ore, Fertilizer, Barytes, Flourspar, Rice, Wood Pulp, Soda Ash

Grain/High Cleanliness Cleaning

  • Cleaning to be carried out to specific requirements, using all necessary equipment from shovels to cherry pickers, double sweeps, paint touch up, seawater was down and fresh water rinse, and using specific approved chemicals to clean holds.
  • Removal of any and all previous cargo residue
  • Typical cargo: Fertilizer, Cement, Grain, Seed Cake, Sugar, Sulphur, Mineral Concentrates

Normal Cleaning

  • This type of clean is done, when no specific requirements has been made
  • Removal of cargo residue, double sweep the holds, using specific approved chemicals seawater was down, fresh water rinse, let the hold dry thoroughly before loading
  • Typically for cargo: Coal, Iron Ore, Bauxite, Petcoke or Salt
